This report presents the findings of the project performance evaluation of the Regional Power Transmission Enhancement Project in Georgia.
This evaluation was prepared 5 years after the loan closed in May 2017 and 4 years after the project completion report (PCR), which was circulated in May 2018. This allowed enough time to pass for a proper assessment of the project’s effectiveness, progress, and longterm sustainability.
The Independent Evaluation Department (IED) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) validated the final review of ADB’s Kazakhstan country partnership strategy (CPS) 2017–2021. As in the CPS final review, the validation assessed ADB operations that were approved, ongoing, or closed from January 2017 to March 2021. The validation was primarily based on information presented in the CPS final review. It also used evidence gathered through document reviews, portfolio analysis, and consultations with stakeholders during a virtual mission conducted in September–October 2021.
On 21st and 22nd of June, the EIB attended the European Development Days organised by the European Commission under the theme “Global Gateway: building sustainable partnerships for a connected world.”
The EIB, through the Inspectorate General Investigations Division, hosted from 1-3 June the 22nd Conference of International Investigators (CII). This year’s conference, organised as a hybrid event, welcomed 150 investigators from Multilateral Development Banks, International Financial Institutions, United Nations agencies and other international and European organisations participating in person, as well as over 450 remote participants to discuss issues of common concern in the field of investigations.
The African Development Bank Group recently held a two-day workshop for electricity sector regulators and utilities on its annual flagship report, the Electricity Regulatory Index for Africa((ERI).
The workshop was held from 25th to 26th May 2022 in Nairobi, as a hybrid event. It saw the first in-person meetings on the report since the Covid-19 pandemic and brought together over 70 participants. The workshop was organized as part of activities for the development of a fifth edition of the report.
