African Development Bank Group President begins official visit to Kenya

African Development Bank Group chief Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, will call on President Uhuru Kenyatta today at the start of a four-day official visit to Kenya .
Dr. Adesina, who arrived in Nairobi this morning, will also meet other senior government officials including Cabinet Secretary, National Treasury and Planning, Ambassador Ukur Yatani Kanacho, who is also the African Development Bank Group’s Governor for Kenya.

Project Performance Evaluation Report for Grant 0245-TAJ: Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Corridor 3 (Dushanbe-Uzbekistan Border) Improvement Project

ONGOING EVALUATION. This project performance evaluation report (PPER) will assess the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Corridor 3 (Dushanbe–Uzbekistan Border) Improvement Project (ADB Grant 0245) in the Republic of Tajikistan (the project). The project sought to support the government’s improvement of the road between Dushanbe–Uzbekistan border from 5 to 62 kilometers (kms).

Enhancing Governance and Capacity Development as Driver of Change

The technical assistance (TA) aimed to provide better analytics, innovative knowledge solutions, collaborative practices, and strengthen regional partnerships. It would improve mainstreaming of governance and capacity development in ADB’s country programming and operations and enable developing member countries, through technical support and knowledge provided by the TA, to respond more effectively to governance and capacity challenges in the sectors and subsectors where ADB is active.
