Chad: African Development Bank extends training to government staff, advancing Desert to Power initiative

The African Development Bank has provided a financial modeling training to staff of the government of Chad, helping prepare the national utility as part of Desert to Power interventions in the country.
Desert to Power is a flagship programme of the African Development Bank: it aims to light up and power the Sahel region by adding 10 GW of solar generation capacity, providing electricity to around 250 million people in 11 Sahelian countries.

Burundi: RASME Computer Tool Enables Remote Monitoring and Evaluation of African Development Bank Projects

From 7 to 10 June 2022, the African Development Bank organized a training in Bujumbura, Burundi on the use of an IT solution for the preparation, supervision, monitoring and evaluation of remote projects.  
RASME (Remote Appraisal, Supervision, Monitoring and Evaluation) uses new information and communication technologies to optimize the collection, analysis and management of data for the preparation, evaluation and supervision of Bank projects.,

Nigeria: Stakeholders endorse African Development Bank country strategy, urge greater engagement with Diaspora

Representatives of Nigeria’s Diaspora, national networks, and youth and women groups have hailed the African Development Bank for supporting transformational projects in the country and across Africa.
The African Development Bank forum, which took place in early August, is part of the institution’s ongoing mid-term review of its country strategy for Nigeria. Over two days, more than 200 participants received updates on the bank’s work in Nigeria. They discussed projects in agriculture, on the digital economy, the creative industry, trade and private enterprise.
