IMF Staff Reaches Staff-Level Agreement on Second Review for Moldova Extended Credit Facility and Extended Fund Facility Arrangements

This paper documents the Chair's Summary of the Development Effectiveness Committee (DEC) discussion held on 11 November 2022. The committee discussed the Independent Evaluation Department’s (IED) Sector Wide Evaluation on Integrated Water Management: ADB's Water Sector Policy and Program, 2011-2021, and Management Response.

The project's intended impact was export-driven economic growth and rural development in the Highlands Region of Papua New Guinea. The expected outcome of the project was improved accessibility and reduced transport cost in the Highlands Region.

This synthesis note distills knowledge from independent validations of technical assistance completion reports (TCRs) to help improve the design and implementation of future technical assistance (TA) operations. This is the second TCR validation (TCRV) synthesis note prepared by the Independent Evaluation Department (IED). This note provides a snapshot of TA performance from a total of 92 TCRVs conducted from July 2021 to June 2022 and contributes to institutional learning and future TA and knowledge work.

The project was in line with the National Transport Development Plan, 2006–2010, which called for improvements in a large number of bridges, including those on the 16 priority national roads and other key roads. The project aimed to focus on a list of priority bridges in five priority national roads identified by the Department of Works. Its expected impact was improved access to markets and social services for the rural population in selected provinces.
