This report provides an independent assessment and validation of the Mongolia country partnership strategy final review (CPSFR), 2012–2016. It reviews the performance of the country partnership strategy (CPS), 2012–2016 and the interim country partnership strategy (ICPS), 2014–2016, and provides lessons and recommendations for the design and implementation of the next CPS covering 2017–2020 for Mongolia.

The costs of environmental neglect have long been known, but growing scientific evidence indicates how global warming is linked to greenhouse gas emissions from human activity. The impact of global warming is most visible in the rising threat of climate-related natural disasters. Disaster risk is the result of the probability of occurrence of hazardous events as well as the impacts should these events occur.
