3ie launches an Impact Evaluation Repository
3ie has launched an Impact Evaluation Repository, a new and improved version of its existing impact evaluation database. With nearly 2,400 impact evaluations, this is the only comprehensive repository of its kind in international development. Designed for policymakers, as well as researchers, it is a valuable source of rigorous evidence of what works, how, why and at what cost in development.
The repository includes impact evaluations of development programmes in low- and middle-income countries that have been selected based on a rigorous inclusion criteria. Studies must have been published as journal articles, book chapters, reports or working papers. Studies in the repository use experimental and quasi-experimental methodologies and are summarised and indexed according to a number of relevant fields.
All studies in the Impact Evaluation Repository have been screened to ensure they meet 3ie's inclusion criteria . The summaries of impact evaluations in this repository are written by 3ie's qualified team of technical consultants.
