The technical assistance (TA) intended to improve the access to, and quality and relevance of education in Mongolia. The expected outcome of the TA was to strengthen the planning and management of the education system supported by three outputs: (i) management and coordination mechanisms for the education sector master plan (ESMP) development established (Phase I); (ii) in-depth education sector studies and reviews of international experience and lessons completed (Phase II); and (iii) ESMP and expenditure framework developed (Phase III).
